We are very proud of our visual arts books. For ten years we have been investing into the slow and detailed work required to do justice to the work of Australian artists: these books become a serious chance to consider or reconsider the body of work made by individual artists or arts centres.
We have made first monographs of significant Western Australian artists such as Guy Grey Smith, Elise Blumann, Miriam Stannage, Helen Grey Smith. We have made monographs of the remarkable Tiwi artist Tim Cook and Tasmanian artist Julie Gough. A wonderful collaborative book by artist John Wolseley and poet Barry Hill about the life and movement of birds, Lines for Birds. And a dazzling book about the dynamism of arts centres in Ngaanyatjarra: Art of the Lands.
