UWA Publishing will be opening for general submissions from 1 July to 31 August and will now be accepting non-fiction submissions all year round.
From 1 July to 31 July we will be accepting fiction and poetry manuscripts and from 1 to 31 August we will be accepting children’s and YA manuscripts. UWAP highly encourages writers who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, LGBTQIA+, gender diverse, living with a disability, and/or culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse to submit their manuscripts.
Submissions are welcomed from 12am AWST on the first day of the designated month and will close at 11.59pm AWST on the last day of the designated month.
We are particularly interested in adult literary fiction novels, junior fiction, middle grade, young adult fiction, as well as scholarly and non-fiction works about Western Australian history and the natural history of WA. Please check out our published books to see if your manuscript might be right for us.
Please submit your manuscript via our website using our Submittable form. Late, emailed or mailed manuscripts will not be accepted.
