UWA Publishing has acquired world rights to Amanda Creely's Nameless.
UWA Publishing has acquired world rights to Amanda Creely’s novel Nameless which was previously shortlisted for the 2022 Dorothy Hewett Award and will be published with UWA Publishing in 2024. Nameless is an allegorical tale about victims of war told through stunning clipped prose.
Amanda Creely is an Australian writer from Bendigo, Victoria and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Literature. Amanda has previously worked as a librarian and a nurse. Of Irish descent, stories have always played a large part in Amanda’s life – she started writing her own as a child and has never stopped. Amanda’s novel Nameless was shortlisted for the Dorothy Hewett Award and will be published with UWA Publishing in 2024.
‘This hard-hitting allegory is both timely and timeless in its exploration of the effects of war. Through skilfully constructed archetypes which draw in the reader, Nameless sheds light on shared human experiences, love in all its forms and the importance of storytelling.’ – 2022 Dorothy Hewett Award judges.
UWA Publishing is proud to be publishing Nameless by Amanda Creely in March 2024.
