Michael Nash
Based in Hobart, Michael Nash is a maritime archaeologist with the Tasmanian Government and, since 1987, has been responsible for the administration of the State’s historic shipwreck legislation and associated research programmes.
Vice-President of the Australasian Institute for Maritime Archaeology and an Honorary Research Fellow with the Archaeology Department of Flinders University, Michael is co-author (along with maritime historian Graeme Broxam), ofTasmanian Shipwrecks (a survey of over one thousand wreck sites around Tasmania) and The Bay Whalers (short-listed for the Tasmanian Bicentennial History Prize).
