Leigh Straw
Leigh Straw is an academic, historian and writer. She is a Senior Lecturer in Australian and Aboriginal Studies at the University of Notre Dame, Fremantle, where she is also the Arts Coordinator. Leigh is the author of a number of books in Australian history and true crime, including After the War: Returned Soldiers and the Mental and Physical Scars of World War I with UWA Publishing. She is also the author of The Worst Woman in Sydney: The Life and Crimes of Kate Leigh (NewSouth Books, 2016) and the forthcoming book Lillian Armfield which looks at the life and career of Australia's first female detective (Hachette Australia, April 2018).
