Uday Prakash
Uday Prakash is one of contemporary Hindi’s most important voices. His volumes of poetry and fiction, published over the past twenty-five years, have earned him numerous Indian and international literary awards, and his work has been translated into ten languages.
His most recent work of fiction The Girl With the Golden Parasol (2008) was also translated into English by Jason Grunebaum.
Uday is also a freelance writer and journalist, a filmmaker of documentaries, feature films and television series, and a playwright. He divides his time between New Delhi and Sitapur in Madhya Pradesh.
