Tim Acker
Tim Acker has worked with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, their enterprises and their communities for more than 12 years. Now based in Perth, he works with remote area artists throughout Western Australia, and as far afield as the Torres Strait Islands.
He has been involved in numerous creative and arts-enterprise development projects, including the Canning Stock Route Project and the Yiwarra Kuju: The Canning Stock Routeexhibition, at the National Museum of Australia.
Tim is currently Principal Research Leader, for the CRC for Remote Economic Participation, which is undertaking an extensive research program into the ‘Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Economies’, based at Curtin University.
