Mark Pendleton

Mark Pendleton is a lecturer in the School of East Asian studies at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom, where he teaches modules in Japanese language, East Asian history and cultural studies. Before moving from Australia to the United Kingdom in 2012, he was active in various queer groups for more than a decade, most notably the Australian Lesbian and Gay Archives. He has also written for a range of academic and non-academic publications, including Japanese Studies, M/C Journal, Australian Feminist Law Journal, Overland, New Matilda and Red Pepper.
