• Katie Holmes

    Katie Holmes lives in Victoria and is an Associate Professor of History at La Trobe University in Melbourne.

    She has published widely on gardening in Australia and researches broadly in twentieth century Australian history, specialising in the uses and meanings of gardens and landscape. She also runs the large garden created by her parents at her family home.

    Her previous book, Between the Leaves: Stories of Australian Women, Writing and Gardens was published by UWA Publishing in 2011. Her book Spaces in Her Day was shortlisted for the NSW and Victorian Premiers’ Awards.
