Jason Grunebaum
Jason Grunebaum has worked as an interpreter and delegate for the International Committee of the Red Cross in Kashmir, Kosovo, and East Timor. His translation from Hindi of Uday Prakash’s novel The Girl with the Golden Parasolwas awarded a PEN Translation Fund grant.
His short stories and translations have appeared in many journals, and his ‘Maria Ximenes da Costa de Carvalho Perreira’ was selected by Salman Rushdie for a Best American Short Stories honorable mention.
He is also a senior lecturer in Hindi at the University of Chicago, where he teaches creative writing.
