UWA Publishing has acquired world rights to Thuy On's third collection of poetry 'Essence.'

UWA Publishing has acquired world rights to Thuy On’s third collection of poetry Essence set to be published in 2025.
Thuy On is an arts journalist, editor, critic, and poet. She’s currently Reviews Editor and writer for online publication, ArtsHub. Her debut collection of poetry, Turbulence, was published by UWA Publishing in 2020 and was shortlisted for Mary Gilmore Award in 2021. Decadence, On’s second collection, was published by UWA Publishing in 2022 and was longlisted for the Stella Prize in 2023.
On says that her third collection of poetry is titled Essence “because essentially that’s what poetry is about, stripping away the extraneous to get to the core in order to distil moments of beauty and chaos into permanence. As the opening salvo explains ‘…you can’t be wastrel novelist/edit like a poet plying ikebana/image through shape line colour…’”
UWA Publishing is proud to be publishing Essence in 2025.
