• Maggie Gee

    Maggie Gee is an English novelist who lives in London with her husband, the writer Nicholas Rankin, and their daughter Rosa.

    She has published many award-winning novels to great acclaim, including The White Family, which was shortlisted for the 2002 Orange Prize for Fiction and the 2004 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award; The Flood, which was longlisted for the 2004 Orange Prize, and My Cleaner, which contains many of the same characters as My Driver.

    Maggie was the first female Chair of the Royal Society of Literature, 2004-2008, and in 2012 was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for services to literature.
