Joan Eveline

Joan Eveline was a Senior Honorary Research Fellow and Co-Director of the Consortium for Diversity at Work in the UWA Business School.

In 1994 she completed her PhD, a comparative analysis of how work and family policies in Sweden and Australia impacted the careers of senior managers.

Following this, she was actively engaged as an academic, researcher and consultant in gender and diversity in organizational studies, with a particular interest in the effects of policy development and implementation.

Her studies in gender, work, leadership and organizations have encompassed Australian and overseas firms as well as the public sector in Australia widely.

She joined the staff at UWA in 1995 after periods lecturing and researching at ANU and at Flinders University. She lectured in the Industrial Relations program until retiring in 2008.

Joan published extensively in international and Australian journals and presented many papers at international conferences.

She has won considerable funding for her research projects, and several awards.
